David Morrisey - Doctor

http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/3082/morriseymulliganpz1.jpg

How about this, created by Polonius - a forum member on Digital-Spy, who has also written a 13 part story arc for 2010.

The new run launches with a new Doctor - played by David Morrissey - who is utterly alone and companion-less following the events of the 2009 specials until he runs into none other than Sally Sparrow, the eleventh doctor's first companion.

The season revolves around a new arc of weather and the Master's return along with his army of Sea Devils, Sky Lords and Toclafane.

Who Will Be The 11th......?

My thoughts of who I want, think or could replace David Tennant:-

David Morrisey (Blackpool, Basic Instinct 2) who is in this year's Christmas Special as we all know. I have been a fan of his for 20 years. I could picture him as The Doctor pre 2005. Number 1 for me.

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a40/MsBonou2/Richard%20Armitage/Richard_Armitage_in_whitemyspace-1.jpg
Richard Armitage (Guy of Gisbourne in Robin Hood) is a possibility in my book. He has the looks, char, charisma and a bit of a dish to boot!

[matthew_macfadyen.jpg]
Matthew Macfadyen (SPOOKS, Little Dorrit) He is in the right age bracket that the BEEB have aimed for since it's return. Heh as the right characteristics and a fine actor. In my top 3!

http://image.guardian.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/arts/2007/03/29/rhysifans460.jpg
Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill, Twin Town) Welsh lad and the right wackiness to play the part.

http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i233/Dancy-dreamer/Brothers%20and%20Sisters/Cast/normal_110303_D_1048_ful.jpg
Matthew Rhys (Brothers & Sisters, The Edge of Love) Cardiff born so a homecoming as The Doctor?
[nathaniel+parker.jpg]
Nathaniel Parker (Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Stardust, Bleak House, Haunted Mansion). He could even play The Doctor in his first incarnation - Gallifrey:Time of Legend. When The Doctor was known as The Other, if ever there was to be a Gallifrey spin off (HMMM!)

Doctor Who & Tennant Success NTAs

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c228/tennant05/n.jpg David Tennant's portrayal of the Doctor has won him the Outstanding Drama Performance National Television Award.

This is the third year in a row that David has won an award at the NTAs, having previously been named Most Popular Actor in 2006 and 2007.

David accepted his award in a live link from Stratford, where he his currently performing with The Royal Shakespeare Company.

David went on to to make a momentous announcement - that he will leave Doctor Who when he has completed the filming of four special episodes which will be screened in 2009 and early in 2010.

Doctor Who has won the National Television Television Award for Most Popular Drama for the third year running.

"I know it's won before" said star Catherine Tate, who accepted the award alongside Executive Producer Russell T Davies and other members of the cast, "but I was sweating that we wouldn't win when I joined!"

The show's success was followed by a win for David Tennant in the Outstanding Drama Performance Category.

Tennant - Handing In Keys To The TARDIS

David Tennant has announced that he will leave the award winning BBC drama Doctor Who when he has completed the filming of four special episodes which will be screened in 2009 and early in 2010.

I don't ever want it to feel like a job, so I want to move on when it still feels exciting and fresh

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c228/tennant05/quit.jpg David Tennant first appeared as The Doctor in 2005 and has gone on to star in three series and three Christmas specials as the tenth incarnation of the Time Lord. The BBC has confirmed that David will continue to play The Doctor in the four specials that will make up the 2009 series before a new Doctor takes over for Series 5. Tennant will also star in the Doctor Who Christmas Special titled The Next Doctor this year.

David Tennant comments "I've had the most brilliant, bewildering and life changing time working on Doctor Who. I have loved every day of it. It would be very easy to cling on to the TARDIS console forever and I fear that if I don't take a deep breath and make the decision to move on now, then I simply never will. You would be prising the TARDIS key out of my cold dead hand. This show has been so special to me, I don't want to outstay my welcome.

"This is all a long way off, of course. I'm not quitting, I'm back in Cardiff in January to film four special episodes which will take Doctor Who all the way through 2009. I'm still the Doctor all next year but when the time finally comes I'll be honoured to hand on the best job in the world to the next lucky git - whoever that may be.

"I'd always thought the time to leave would be in conjunction with Russell T Davies and Julie Gardner who have been such a huge part of it all for me. Steven Moffat is the most brilliant and exciting writer, the only possible successor to Russell and it was sorely tempting to be part of his amazing new plans for the show. I will be there, glued to my TV when his stories begin in 2010.

"I feel very privileged to have been part of this incredible phenomenon, and whilst I'm looking forward to new challenges I know I'll always be very proud to be the Tenth Doctor."

Russell T Davies Executive Producer of Doctor Who comments "I've been lucky and honoured to work with David over the past few years - and it's not over yet, the Tenth Doctor still has five spectacular hours left! After which, I might drop an anvil on his head. Or maybe a piano. A radioactive piano. But we're planning the most enormous and spectacular ending, so keep watching!

New Star Of 'The Sarah Jane Adventuires' Removes Pics From Facebook

(By Ben Rawson-Jones, Cult EditorDigital-Spy)

'Sarah Jane' star removes Facebook pics New Sarah Jane Adventures star Anjli Mohindra purged her Facebook account in order to be a good role model for the show's younger viewers.

Mohindra, who plays Rani Chandra in the CBBC drama, told Doctor Who Magazine that she took "all the really bad photos of me off Facebook" upon landing the part, "in case any seven-year-olds find my profile".

The actress, 18, explained that she took the measures "because we had role models when we were that age - you looked up at Britney and suddenly there she was hanging out of a car with everything on show, and it really disappoints you".

Congratulations..........It's A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/12_01/037billieDM0612_468x334.jpg Billie Piper was last night celebrating becoming mum to a bouncing baby boy.

Actress Piper gave birth to a son by emergency Caesarean at 1am yesterday, her husband Laurence Fox revealed. She endured a 26-hour labour before undergoing the operation. They have named their newborn son Winston James Fox.

Fox told reporters outside the private Portland Hospital in London: “He is beautiful, he is sweet.”

When asked about Billie’s labour, he said: “The emergency Caesarean only took about 20 minutes. “Billie is happy, of course she is, she’s a mum. I am tired but not as tired as her — I am a proud father. Billie is doing really well, no complications. Healthy, brilliant.”

Winston weighed 6lb 11oz, Fox said.

Wearing jeans and a grey jumper, a tired-looking Fox went outside the hospital on a number of occasions to smoke yesterday as reporters and photographers gathered. The proud father showed reporters outside the hospital a picture of new-born Winston on his mobile phone.

Doctor Who Favourite Elzabeth Sladen speaks of the success of Sarah Jane Smith

08

Portraying The Doctor's companion on Doctor Who can be a great gig. The role can open doors for actors, immortalizing them with fans and creating a cottage industry of convention appearances for life. But that doesn't mean playing a sidekick on the long-running British sci-fi show is easy.

"When I started Doctor Who, I wrote down things the character would be for me," said Sladen, who played Sarah Jane for several years in the '70s before reprising the role, first in a pilot for 1981's failed Who spinoff K-9 and Company, then in the current version of Who and now in the kid-friendly The Sarah Jane Adventures. "I wanted her to be smart and feisty. Since I never considered Doctor Who a sci-fi show but a character-driven story with some adventure, that saved me from just rolling into a character who was the little girl who needed saving."

New 11th Doctor Rumour

A new rumour has risen online according to our friends over at Den of Geek, of a new name for that of the 11th Doctor - Paterson Joseph (below). Could we have the first coloured Doctor by 2011? Does it really matter what skin tone the Doctor has? For me, as long as he is a strong actor and capable of fulfilling the BIG shoes of David Tennant (a task in itself), that is all that matters!

http://www.denofgeek.com/siteimage/scale/300/2000/33533.png

Paterson Joseph - who appeared as Roderick in Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways - has previous form with incoming showrunner Steven Moffat, having played a key role in Jekyll.

Other names include:

Adrian Lester (Spooks), Colin Salmon (James Bond, Hex)
