The Doctor Who DVD Files - Update....

It has now been confirmed that the previously reported Doctor Who DVD Files magazine will launch later this year. To test it's popularity, GE Fabbri will only put the magazine on sale in the Tyne area of England to begin with and if all goes well distribute it to the whole of the United Kingdom at a later date. Their official website is now up and can be viewed here. On the website you can view pages from the first issue, take a look at covers of the upcoming DVDs and much more. The magazine itself will take a look at both the classic and new series of Doctor Who whereas the DVDs will only feature episodes from the new series. At the moment GE Fabbri, the makers of the magazine, have plans to release 28 issues.

Sarah Jane Adventures Airdate Confirmed....

It has been confirmed that the second series of The Sarah Jane Adventures will air on BBC One from Monday 29th September 2008.

The series will open with The Last Sontaran, and as the title suggests, the two-parter will feature the classic monsters (or monster, as the case may be this time), last seen on our screens earlier this year in the fourth series of Doctor Who.

But it's all change this time round for Sarah Jane & co, as Maria Jackson and her dad say goodbye to Bannerman Road and head off for a new life abroad, but fear not, because her position will be filled by newcomer Anjli Mohindra, who will play Rani Chandra.

This series promises to be the biggest yet, with the pesky Graske also scheduled to make another appearance, as well as Samantha Bond, who will be reprising her popular role of Mrs Wormwood from Invasion of the Bane.

Also, by the time it finishes, it'll only be a matter of days until this year's Christmas special of Doctor Who, so at least we've now got something to pass the time!

Torchwood:Lost Souls Trailer

Big Bang Day A Torchwood: Lost Souls Radio Trail has been released in the build-up to BBC Radio 4's Big Bang Day on Wednesday 10 September.

Martha Jones, ex-time traveller now working as a doctor for a UN task force, has been called to CERN. Join Captain Jack and friends in a series of strange events around the activation of the world's largest particle accelerator.

Somewhere out there in that chaos of darkness and light, of science and protons, of gods and stars and death... somewhere there's an answer.

Following the tragic deaths of two of colleagues, Captain Jack, Gwen and Ianto have to protect the human race against another unknown force from the darkness. Martha Jones, ex-time traveller now working as a doctor for a UN task force, has been called to CERN - the world's largest particle physics laboratory in Geneva - where they're about to activate the Large Hadron Collider.

The LHC is a particle accelerator, which has been built deep underground in a 27 km tunnel under Switzerland and France. Once activated the Collider will fire beams of protons together recreating conditions a billionth of a second after the Big Bang - and potentially allowing the human race a greater insight into what the Universe is made of. But so much could go wrong - it could open a gateway to a parallel dimension, or create a black hole - and now voices from the past are calling out to people and scientists have started to disappear...

Where have the missing scientists gone? What is the secret of the glowing man? What is lurking in the underground tunnel? And do the dead ever really stay dead?

Sarah Jane Adventures Series 2 Screen Shots

The first promotional pictures of SJA series two have been revealed by leading science fiction magazine, SFX. Their current issue boasts an interview with SJA producer, Nikki Smith, as well as three brand new photos from the show:

These will no doubt be the first of many promotional pictures to be circulated through magazines and websites in the weeks leading up to the premiere of the second series. As for the Nikki Smith interview, it's chock-full of juicy spoilers! Though fans in the know won't find anything new, there's a juicy tidbit at the end of the interview that'll certainly whet anyone's appetite! When asked about the appearance of a certain Time Lord on 'The Sarah Jane Adventures', Nikki Smith teasingly replies 'Watch this space!' *gasp*

In other news, the SJA first series reruns kicked off on BBC1 today with 'Revenge of the Slitheen'. Next weeks episode will air at the later time of 3.05pm. There's also a two-page spread for 'Warriors of Kudlak' in this weeks Doctor Who Adventures. It's available till Wednesday and costs £2.10.
