Series 37/11 Title And Airdate are Revealed
On Thursday, 5th September, the BBC revealed the airdate for the upcoming new series of Doctor Who to be ... SUNDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2018. You read that right. The BBC have decided in their wisdom to move our beloved show from its regualar Saturday evening slot to a Sunday. They have basically thought, what better way to end a hard working week, than for us all to sit down in front of the tele-box, let the Sunday roast settle in our bellies, and watch the new series of doctor Who. The title for the opener of Series 37/11 is: The Woman Who Fell To Earth, as many YouTube fan made videos had predicted.
When we last saw the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), they had just regenerated and promptly expelled from the TARDIS prior to it dematerialising.

New showrunner, Chris Chubnall has said, "We have a new Doctor, new monster, so it's only fitting that the TimeLord has a new time slot". The BBC have yet to reveal the time for the opening episode but, I would guess that it will be 7pm.

Thirteenth Doctor Relives Her Past Lives In New Titan Comic
Titan Comics are to release a new Doctor Who comic this September - 'The Thirteenth Doctor Vol 0: The Many Lives Of Doctor Who', a special primer edition, which will celebrate the many and wondrous lives of the Doctor.
Doctor Who Vol 0 finds the Doctor regenerating from Peter Capaldi's Twelfth incarnation tnto |Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth, and reliving unseen adventures from all of the Time Lord's previous lives, from Classic to Nu Who.
It's said that your life flashes before your eyes when you die, and the Doctor’s had many of them! As the Doctor regenerates from his twelfth incarnation to her thirteenth (as played by Jodie Whittaker), she relives unseen adventures from all her past selves from Classic through to New Who. Hitting stores in September 2018, The Thirteenth Doctor #0 features a stellar cast of Doctor Who comic creators including writer Richard Dinnick and artists Mariano Laclaustra, Giorgia Sposito, Arianna Florean, Iolanda Zanfardino, Brian Williamson, Claudia Ianniciello and Rachael Stott, the artist of Titan’s new Thirteenth Doctor series!
This special 64-page edition - the first Thirteenth Doctor comic - comes with two covers to collect: an art cover by Claudia Ianniciello and a photo variant by designer Will Brooks - only available in comic shops. The Thirteenth Doctor #0 is part of Titan Comics' larger plans for the Thirteenth Doctor, which includes the launch of issue #1 in October and Doctor Who Comics Day on November 24.
This isn't the first time that a newly incarnation of the Doctor has met his previous selves. In the BBC Books - The Eighth Doctors novel, Paul McGann's Doctor met his previous selves in order to remember who he was following a trap left by the Master, after checking the Eye Of Harmony in his TARDIS, which erases his memory. The only thing he remembers is that he is called the Doctor.

New Sonic Screwdriver Photos - Spoilers!
Two images have leaked online of the all-new sonic screwdriver. As seen at the end of the Christmas special Twice Upon A Time, Jodie Whittaker's Doctor has no sonic screwdriver as she falls out of the TARDIS as it disappears. As you can see from the pictures, there is a crystal at the top, which is reminiscent of the Eighth Doctor's own sonic screwdriver.

The Collection 12New Composer For New Chibnall Era
Hi everyone. My apologies for the lack of posts since the end of 2017. The reason being, I had a major issue with my laptop which took some time to get fixed and also with personal issues which are now all sorted. I have missed updating this Doctor Who blog during the last 7 months and I will keep The Gallifrey Chronicles upto date more frequently. Thank you - Cerys x
Now, onto the WHO stuff.
I won't be adding information that I have missed because, you have most likely caught up with what has been released via other Doctor Who blogs. Therefore, I will recommence with presently released news.
Following the departure of former Doctor Who composer Murray Gold, the new and anticipated series' score will be composed by Segun Akinola who will bring in a fresh take on the Doctor Who theme, originally composed by Ron Grainer and brought to life by Delia Derbyshire). Segun said in a statement that he was "Absolutely thrilled to have landed the job with Doctor Who. Who is woven into the fabric of British culture and recognised globally. I am absolutely thrilled to be given the privilege of working on such a beloved series and to bring my musical voice to it"

First off, when will Series 37 / 11 air? The BBC have not given an official airdate for Jodie Whittaker's full series debut. However, it is expected to air in the Autumn, and is likely to be mid- September. The opening episode will be an extended one at 65 minutes and the remaining episodes will be 50 minutes in length as compared to the previous 45 minutes of previous series. There will be 10 episodes in total, unlike 13 episodes per series since Doctor Who returned.

Meet the new TARDIS crew
Meet the 13th Doctor's new friends!
Yasmin (Mandip Gill), Ryan (Tosin Cole), and Graham (Bradley Walsh).
When Jodie Whittaker takes over as the Thirteenth Doctor on the
global hit show next year, she will be joined by an all new regular
cast.
BBC announces today (October 10, 2017) that Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole
and Mandip Gill will line-up as the new regular cast on Doctor Who.
Bradley will star as Graham, Tosin will play Ryan and Mandip will play Yasmin.
Also joining the series in a returning role is Sharon D Clarke.
New head writer and executive producer Chris Chibnall, who made the
decision to cast the first ever woman in the iconic role, is also
shaking up who will travel with the Doctor in the TARDIS, with a team of
new characters.
In more exclusive news, it is confirmed that the new series will be a
ten week run of fifty minute episodes in Autumn 2018, kicking off with a
feature length hour for the opening launch.
Chris Chibnall says : “The new Doctor is going to need new friends.
We’re thrilled to welcome Mandip, Tosin and Bradley to the Doctor Who
family. They’re three of Britain’s brightest talents and we can’t wait
to see them dive into brand new adventures with Jodie’s Doctor.
Alongside them, we’re delighted that Sharon D Clarke is also joining the
show."
Jodie Whittaker says : "I am so excited to share this huge adventure with Mandip, Tosin and Bradley. It's a dream team!"
Bradley Walsh says : “I remember watching William Hartnell as the
first Doctor. Black and white made it very scary for a youngster like
myself. I was petrified but even though I’d watch most of it from behind
the sofa through my fingers, I became a fan. I then queued up for ages
to get into the Carlton picture house in Watford to watch the great
Peter Cushing appear as the Doctor in a full length feature film made in
glorious colour. Am I thrilled to be part of this whole ground breaking
new dawn for the Doctor?? Oh yes!”
Mandip Gill says : “I am over the moon to be joining the Doctor Who
family. This is an iconic show with an amazing fanbase and I look
forward to everything that brings. Certain roles seem unattainable and
this is one of those, so much so I didn't believe it to be true for the
first few weeks. To be working alongside the likes of Jodie, Bradley and
my old friend Tosin is thrilling. This show is worlds away from the
work I've done previously and that's the part that excites me the most.”
Tosin Cole says : "I'm grateful and excited to be a part of this
journey with the team. I'm looking forward to jumping in this Doctor Who
universe."
Matt Strevens, Executive Producer, BBC Studios says : “I am thrilled
to welcome Bradley, Mandip and Tosin to the new Who family. Working with
three such talented actors is going to be a lot of fun. The Doctor is
in fine company.”
Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama says : "The casting of Mandip,
Tosin and Bradley is a mark of the new creative ambition Chris is
bringing to Doctor Who. He's already made history with the casting of
Jodie. These three new characters complete a new and utterly unmissable
team aboard the Tardis."

Special new Doctor Who footage to be released this weekend
Doctor Who fans are in for a treat this Sunday, 23rd July 2017, a
preview of the Christmas episode will be shown at the San Diego
Comic-Con.
Episode director Rachel Talalay has shed some more light on what fans can expect from the event, suggesting that the 'sneak-peak' will be comprised of a teaser trailer or fottage from the as yet unnamed special. And in more good news, Talalay suggested that the footage would be
released online after the panel – not always a guarantee at San Diego
Comic-con, as proven when the trailer from 2013 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor was withheld from non-attendees.
